About

Sean is a social impact strategist with a passion for advancing health equity for historically marginalized communities.As an External Affairs Officer for FEMA and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Sean advises on communication, education, and outreach strategies in support of the Agency's life-saving mission. He is currently assigned to New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands.Before FEMA, Sean was communications director at The Advertising Council, where he worked on campaigns for vaccine education, children's mental health, adult literacy, and LGBTQ+ rights. During the early COVID-19 pandemic, he served as public information officer for a community health center in the South Bronx.Sean began his career on Capitol Hill as a Voice of America broadcaster before joining the New York theater community as a creative consultant. He leverages his expertise in storytelling to drive social impact.Sean holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and a master's degree in community health from Columbia University.
